| What are Albums and
Frames?
A: Albums are like separate folders where you can sort and display your
Images. These Albums can be set to Private, Public or Password Protected.
The Frames are simply a fancy, fun way of displaying your Albums and Images.
Just like a regular Photo Frame, they surround your Albums and Images.
We have several different designs to choose from, and will be adding more
and more!
What is the difference between Private,
Public and Password Protected Albums?
A: If you choose to set your Album to Private, it will not be placed inside
of our Gallery and will not be displayed inside of your own Personal Album
Gallery. If you choose to set your Album as Public, your Album will be
displayed inside of our Public Gallery where visitors to the site can
browse thru it and leave messages in your Guestbook. If you decide to
make your Album Password Protected, visitors will have to know your set
Password in order to view the Images inside.
Can I add Music to my Albums?
A: Of course you can :) When creating a new Album, simply choose from
one of our stock Midi files, or feel free to upload your own. By Editing
an Album, you can choose to add music or delete the music.
Will my Images automatically be resized?
A: You have two options! When uploading your Images, you can choose to
have them automatically resized to 450 pixels, or you can choose to have
it auto-resized at 450 pixels, along with the same image uploaded at it's
original size...no matter how large.
Tell me about your Image Editor.
A: You are going to be so pleasantly surprised! In our Image Editor, you
are able to resize, crop, rotate and watermark your Images. Plus there
are many other fun features for you to try!
What are the Slideshows?
A: We are glad you asked! We offer two different slideshows for you to
use in your auction listings! One slideshow will display all the Images
within a particular Album. When an Image is clicked, a window will appear
displaying the Image's actual size, along with thumbnails of all the Album
Images for visitors to click on to enlarge.
The other slideshow will display all of your Current Auctions running
on eBay. When an Auction Listing thumbnail displays in the center window,
underneath it all of your Auction Stats will be displayed. This includes
number of bids, Buy It Now price, current price, days remaining, etc.
When a visitor clicks on a particular thumbnail, they will be taken to
the actual Auction Listing.
Are the Free accounts for Auction Boutique
members ever deleted?
A: We will not delete free accounts. Your account may be 'frozen' if you
cancel your subscription to Auction Boutique, but we offer options for
you to still use your OOthepic account.
How do I change my username?
A: You cannot change the username. If you email us your username and password
we'll remove your account and you can re-register.
I've forgotten my password - how can
I retrieve it?
A: You can click on the 'forgot password' link provided near the login
button.
Why does it take a longer time to upload
my images?
A: It may be that the Image size is very large. Digital cameras can take
photos that can exceed 3mb in file size. The larger the photo, the larger
the file size, the longer it can take to upload. We recommend the medium
image size setting on your camera. Also, you might have chosen to have
the Image auto-resized along with having it uploaded at it's original
size. This will cause the Uploader to work a bit harder because it is
uploading 2 photos, the resized version and the original.
How do I allow my friends & family to
view my Album?
A: You can send them the link generated in the Userpanel under the link
"Vistors Page"'.
Should I keep backups of images that
I upload to OOthepic?
A: At OOthepic, we take precautions to keep your Images safe and sound
at the highest recommended backup system that is electronically possible.
We back-up our Database daily because many of the images hosted on the
OOthepic website are being used in live auctions and in real time. These
backups are used for system restoration if ever necessary and not intended
to recover individual images from user accounts. So, just to be safe,
it is still recommended that you keep back ups of your own images.
What are the Minimum Requirements when
using OOthepic?
A: In order to have all of OOthepic's features working properly, we first
recommend visiting www.java.com
to download and install the latest version of Java then restart your computer.
The Java download is free and easy. In addition, we recommend adding www.oothepic.com
as a "safe or trusted site" to your Anti-Virus software. Please
click "yes" if your anti virus ever asks you to allow active
"X" ,Java and pop up blockers for this site.
